My Little Evils

For my grade 7 class I taught them some new vocabulary and wanted to drive it home in a fun way so I introduced them to the game Hangman. They guessed really good and I told them that they had to be careful because there classmate was on trial. Eventually they would start guessing the wrong letter on purpose just for the fun of it (Z, Q, X, W) and then after the classmate ceased to be, they would tell me the right letters.
For the last game, I asked them who they wanted to put on trial and they little evils chose me, one girl came up and wrote dictionary, another refrigerator and other words. BUT they all saved me... I tried the game with my grade 8 class and they too decided that I should be on trial, so for the last portion I called on this sweet little girl and I said ok whats the letter since it was so obvious, and she purposely said the wrong letter and the class started laughing. So I said to them in a dramatic soap opera like tone "ni men shang hai wo de xin"- meaning you broke my heart and they were like "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" and started laughing again.
